Can Windows 7 run on your computer?

If you’re running Vista or already know what the minimum requirements are, the answer should be obvious to you. But for the non-tech savvy that know nothing about what’s inside their computer, Microsoft has provided a much easier way to find out if their computer is capable of running Windows 7 – Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

The tool scans your computer’s hardware and tells you if you’ve met the minimum requirements. If you haven’t, it provides suggestions on how you can meet them. In addition, it can also tell you if your devices will be supported by Windows 7. So before running the Upgrade Advisor, be sure to plug in all your USB or external devices from iPods to printers, to external hard drives.
