Correction: Windows 7 Beta starts shutting down starting July 1st

mai 29 05:20 2009

A few days ago, upon receiving an email from Microsoft, we warned users that Windows 7 Beta will start shutting down every 2 hours starting June 1st. Microsoft sent another email today noting that the dates in their original email was wrong. Here are the corrected dates:

Version:
Starts shutting down every two hours:
Expires:
Beta
July 1, 2009
August 1, 2009
Release Candidate
March 1, 2010
June 1, 2010

Nonetheless, if you’re still on the Beta, there’s no reason not to upgrade to the Release Candidate. The RC features many changes to the UI and has drastically improved device compatibility since the beat.
