Windows 7 on track for 2009 release

mai 11 23:40 2009

Not that any of us should be surprised, but Microsoft has finally put out an official announcement regarding Windows 7 readiness. Just a few weeks ago, Acer announced that Windows 7 would ship with their Aspire Z5600 on October 23rd.

Microsoft Corp. announced that the company is anticipating that the next version of its client operating system, Windows 7, will be available to customers in time for the holiday shopping season.

Like always, Microsoft is being extremely vague about this but at least we know for sure now we will be seeing Windows 7 before 2010.

In similar news, Brandon Leblanc posted the same announcement on the Windows Team Blog but also stated that they ar expected to hit RTM in three months or so. Looking good Microsoft, looking good.
