Mesh Computers Pays Customers Upgrading to Windows 7

As everyone knows, Windows Vista was not a highly praised accomplishment for Microsoft. It’s lousy launch, which led to many issues surrounding compatibility and sufficient hardware, has given Vista a bad name. So much so that it seems like a company thinks it will be necessary to pay its customers to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7. Mesh Computers, a computer company located in London, is offering their customers $8 (£5) off any computer purchase and a free upgrade at release if they select Windows 7 as their OS. When Mesh was asked why they decided to pay customers by PC Pro, a Mesh spokesperson responded:

From Mesh’s internal testing it appears that customers who run with Windows 7 will actually place less of a strain on technical support and customer service. The value of that reduction in support calls has been valued at £5. From Mesh’s point of view, Windows Vista was the first step, whereas Windows 7 can much more accurately be characterized as the fulfillment.

Some major computer vendors such as HP, Acer, Asus, and Dell are embracing Windows 7 as a chance to gain more sales by offering free upgrade coupons. Other companies are charging customers a small fee to be eligible for an upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista when it is released.

Microsoft, on the other hand, has decided to charge users to upgrade to Windows 7 while they should have also payed users who have had to experience many problems with their “next-gen” operating system. If you do not want to be charged to upgrade, I recommend turning to Mesh computers. Mesh computers is probably not the only one to pay users, but many companies are offering upgrades for free, a logical thing to do. Even though Windows 7 is probably going to be a great accomplishment, let’s just hope Microsoft keeps Vista behind them.
